This 70-year section of time – the “hypothetical” earthly lifespan of Christ, so to speak – I see as a microcosm of the vast macrocosm of ALL humans, potentially, and I coined this way of seeing it as the “anthropic view of eschatology.

Anthropic view of Eschatology Hand-Drawn Chart

By Alan Bradley
2018

This is a hand-drawn chart I just did that, as I see it, depicts the 70 year time-frame I was discussing in a thread below about the word “vicarious.” To clarify a previous post in the thread with Robert Statzer: I was not talking about the events of the birth, ministry, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension of Christ as themselves “shadows and types,” for they were the most REAL historical events, ontologically, that there have ever been. Rather, I was referring to the 70-year TIME-FRAME (the average lifespan of a man, both then and still now) in which they occurred and the characteristics of that time-frame, i.e., the gradual fading away of the Old World (e.g., Mosaic Age) chronologically commensurate with the BREAKING IN of the New World (Kingdom of God), culminating in 70 – 73 AD. This 70-year section of time – the “hypothetical” earthly lifespan of Christ, so to speak – I see as a microcosm of the vast macrocosm of ALL humans, potentially, and I coined this way of seeing it as the “anthropic view of eschatology.”
