Alan Bradley: Chart – The Anthropic View of Eschatology (2018)

It is based on the micro-macro principle that the earthly life of Christ PLUS the 40 years he was ascended to the Father together equal 70 years and that this 70 year “lifespan” parallels the average lifespan of a human being, both in his time and still today.

The chart below illustrates a compatible ‘subset’ of Preterist Idealism I developed last year that I call “the Anthropic View of Eschatology.” It is based on the micro-macro principle that the earthly life of Christ PLUS the 40 years he was ascended to the Father together equal 70 years and that this 70 year “lifespan” parallels the average lifespan of a human being, both in his time and still today.

The key events in the life of the believer parallel the key events in the 70-year “potential” or “archetypal” lifespan of Christ. So, his outer, bodily death, resurrection, and ascension depict the inner, spiritual death, resurrection, and ascension of the believer in Christ, that is, the “born again” event. In like manner, his “return,” the final death of the “First Adam” & Mosaic Age and the “resurrection” in 70 AD depict the actual biological death of the believer AND the spiritual resurrection and ascension of the believer’s soul into heaven to be with Christ and the Father forever.

Though I am still tweaking the chart’s details, this is at least a rough depiction of how I see and understand eschatology. Christ’s whole “potential” 70-year life – from his birth to his death, resurrection, and ascension, to his “coming again” with all the angels including the Hadean resurrection and resurrection of the one new “Israel of God” collective remnant – the ecclesia – in 70 AD constitute and represent the archetype or pattern for own individual lives as believers.
