The HyP teaching that the New Covenant wasn’t in its full establishment until long after the cross event shows how Hyper Preterism is fundamentally different from Christianity as it has always been known.
Hyper Preterism grossly undervalues the role of the Holy Spirit in the ministries of the earliest Christians. Verses which speak of the then-present works of the Spirit are ironically presented as being in a state of non-fulfillment until the fall of Jerusalem. Consequently, the comforting words of Jesus are misinterpreted in order to perpetuate a false system. Such is the case with Matthew 10:23.
The Word of God explicitly declares that Jesus Christ Himself and His work in us is the “end” (the “telos” and the “eschaton”) to which all prophecy ultimately points.
